Barsky is a former commercial diver and the co-author of Investigating Recreational and Commercial Diving Accidents (with Dr. Tom Neuman), the Simple Guide to Commercial Diving ((with Bob Christensen), and the author of Diving in High-Risk Environments. He works as a full-time consultant to the diving industry and is a professional underwater photographer. (See story on page 42)
Jim Shirley is a Master Mariner, former salvage master and maritime lawyer specializing in maritime casualty and salvage matters. He now serves as legal counsel to the ASA and is Principal Consultant in JTS Marine LLC. (See story on page 27)
