Teledyne RDI Doppler Velocity Logs Added to Ashtead Lease Pool
Teledyne RD Instruments (RDI) said that Ashtead Technologies Offshore has added eight additional Workhorse Navigator Doppler Velocity Logs (DVLs) to its existing global lease pool, bringing their total number of available DVLs to 44. The DVLs are used around the world for precision underwater navigation applications. In addition to the DVLs, Ashtead also maintains a full suite of Teledyne RDI Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) for their customers' current measurement needs.

Teledyne Acquires Odom Hydrographic Systems
Teledyne Technologies Inc.'s subsidiary, Teledyne RD Instruments, Inc., has acquired Odom Hydrographic Systems, Inc. Odom, headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., designs and manufactures hydrographic survey instrumentation used in port survey, dredging, offshore energy and other applications. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. "Odom's single and multibeam echo sounders nicely complement the existing instrumentation products within our Teledyne Marine group of companies," said Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies. "For example, through the combination of Odom's echo sounders with Teledyne RDI's Doppler velocity logs, Teledyne Benthos' side scan sonar systems and Teledyne TSS' inertial sensing systems, Teledyne will provide an extensive line of precision products for marine navigation, detection, sonar imaging and bathymetric survey."

Geocable Systems wins Major Order
Geocable Systems, a Houston-based seismic cable and umbilical designer and manufacturer, received two of its most substantial orders to date from CGGVeritas. The orders from CGGVeritas include more than eight km of Airgun Umbilicals for CGGV North America and CGGV Europe, plus 21 km of lead-in cables for CGGV worldwide. The products are to be used across all of CGGVeritas' fleet of Seismic Vessels. The orders are set to be delivered throughout 2009.

Subsea 7 Wins North Sea Contract
Subsea 7 won a contract by Venture Production plc to manage the integrity of its subsea assets in the North Sea. Subsea 7 will provide Venture with a team of specialist personnel to support the integrity management contract.
