Tritech Appoints McCloy as Finance Director
Tritech International appointed Jacqueline McCloy as its new Finance Director effective February 18, 2009. McCloy previously held the position of Head of Finance at technology manufacturer, Sarantel Group PLC for four years. Heading the finance and shared services teams she was responsible for development and integration of resource planning and information systems across the company as well as having overall control of financial and statutory reporting. Prior to this, Jacqueline worked as Financial Controller of Natural Building Technologies Ltd, a firm at the leading edge of sustainable materials for the construction industry. Jacqueline's new role as Finance Director of the Tritech Group includes responsibility for financial control, reporting and compliance across the Group. ket with regards to CSIP's range of Underwater Manipulator Arms. Before joining CSIP, David ScottFrame was a student at Plymouth University and gained a BA (Hons) degree in Electronics and Electronic Systems. He is now working for CSIP as an embedded software engineer focusing on the companies Underwater Manipulator Arms. Julian Moore is a graduate of Brunell University where he studied Aerospace Engineering and achieved a BA (Hons) degree. After leaving University he spent a year working at an engineering company focusing on Aerospace projects. Hantsport, Nova Scotia is a leading sustainable energy and resources company. Working in partnership with MBPP, Marine Current Turbines (MCT) will participate in the tidal power demonstration centre established by the Province of Nova Scotia. MBPP and MCT intend to deploy a 1.5MW tidal generator when the in-stream tidal energy centre enters full operation and is connected to the Nova Scotia grid.
Wind Leads the Way Offshore UK
A consortium led by Netherland'sbased Blue H Technologies has been selected to take part in a $1.6b Energy Technology Institute (ETI) initiative to help the UK meet its renewable energy targets by 2020. The Project Deepwater Turbine consortium, which includes BAE Systems, EDF Energy, the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Romax and SLP Energy, will design and assess the feasibility of a 5MW floating wind turbine that is cheaper and more efficient than existing models and able to operate in water depths of 30m to 300m. IVS 3D Appoints Doucet
IVS 3D appointed Maurice Doucet to the software development team as the Chief Systems Architect. With over 20 years of experience in the software industry, Doucet brings significant experience in commercial product development from consumer applications to real-time sensor control and data visualization. He joins IVS from Triton Imaging where he was the Chief Technology Officer responsible for leading the development of sonar acquisition and processing software.

FSME Orders GAPS MCT Enters Tidal Energy Partnership
Marine Current Turbines Ltd., the U.K. tidal energy company, has agreed a partnership with Canada's Minas Basin Pulp and Power Company Ltd. to demonstrate and develop tidal power technology and facilities in Canada's Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia. Minas Basin Pulp and Power Company Limited (MBPP) of Fugro Survey (Middle East) Limited (FSME) ordered another GAPS, IXSEA's pre-calibrated USBL system. The first GAPS USBL was mobilized in the spring of 2008 for several construction jobs on behalf of the EPC contractor J. Ray McDermott Middle East in Qatar.
