Amphibious Submersible Dredge
With TMT's Submersible Dredge (Sub-Dredge), there are no limits on ladder or cable length, allowing dredging in areas once deemed impossible. The Sub-Dredge is designed for precision dredging at depths exceeding 200 ft., and as shallow as one ft. The Sub-Dredge's independence from the main platform allows it to go under, over or around obstacles such as ship hulls, floating dry-docks, piers and docks. The Sub-Dredge's versatility is maintained by its two independently powered reinforced rubber tracks, designed to give it excellent maneuverability underwater. Each track is powered by a high-torque electric drive to create a versatile machine. This capability allows the Sub-Dredge to move forward and backwards and spin 360 degrees within its own footprint with only a touch of the controller. Furthermore the implementation of the slow moving rubber tracks create little turbidity while maneuvering through the water. The rubber tracks are engineered to implement a down pressure of five pounds per square inch along the ground in order to create the least amount of disturbance. The Sub-Dredge is also equipped with on-board sensors that
measure the pitch and roll of the dredge, which allows the PLC to monitor the stability of the machine and make corrections as necessary. Clogging of the head is reportedly not a problem with the Sub-Dredge, as the system incorporates a patented self-cleaning, high torque variable speed guard which is self cleaning.
Elkins Swivels Are Available in 3 Sizes
The Elkins Swivel features a rotating spindle that is located within twin needle roller bearings. They are available now in three distinct size; the EE2 5ton; EE1 2 ton and the EE3 500 kg models. The swivel is oil filled which enables it to move freely in all sea conditions and in subsurface waves and currents. Due to the high grade titanium used, the swivels can be deployed corrosion free in the ocean for many years. Elklins Swivels have been used recently in the German tsunami warning system offshore Indonesia.

Subsea Field Joint Repair Kit
CCI designed a replacement, hoop tension secured, adjustable length, subsea field joint. It is comprised of two conical semi rigid polymeric self supporting end seals with pre-attached heavy duty gelled felt inner layer. These are pre fitted by divers at each end of the field joint bearing against the concrete weight coat followed by a Retrowrap HD dual diameter outer jacket pre shaped to follow the exact contours of the ends seals, factory pipe coating and pipe weld OD. During installation, the hoop tension within the fabric acts upon the highly hydrophobic gel which displaces all water to ensure an anaerobic state is maintained throughout the length of the field joint. Vapor phase corrosion inhibitors incorporated within the gel provides additional long term performance integrity. Closure is achieved via thermally formed flanges.
