Hallin will provide a Dynamically Positioned Survey Vessel complete with Workclass Remote Operated Vehicle and Survey/Inspection equipment together with skilled survey personnel to carry out the contract.
PSS Secures ROV Deals
Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS), part of the Triton Group, has been awarded a series of contracts to supply ROVs worth in excess of £30 million. Orders have been received for a total of 17 ROV systems for both new and existing international clients including Canyon Offshore, Oceanteam, Technip and Geoconsult. The announcement comes a week after Triton Group Company, SubAtlantic, revealed orders of up to £7 million so far this year.
Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping, Rock Solid Images Join Forces
Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping (OHM) has completed the acquisition of Houston-based Rock Solid Images (RSI). RSI is a industry leader in the integration of fundamental rock physics with well data and surface seismic in order to interpret geophysical signatures in terms of reservoir properties such as lithology, porosity and saturation, providing geologic insight and reservoir understanding at all stages of the oilfield lifecycle; it is OHM's intention to invest in RSI to allow them to grow this business and to develop their technical lead. Controlled Source Electromagnetic imaging (CSEM), provided by OHM, is an innovative offshore geophysical technique, employing electromagnetic remote-sensing technology to detect the presence and extent of hydrocarbon accumulations below the seabed.
III Sells Echosounder
International Industries Inc. (III) sold an ODOM ES 3 Shallow Water Multibeam Echosounder to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington, WV District. Included in the package is a TSS DMS 25 Dynamic Motion Sensor. The new ES 3 is aimed squarely at the user who previously felt that multibeam technology was beyond his means due either to high costs or perceived complexity. Affordability previously meant too many compromises on performance and performance always carried a high price tag. Chic Ransone, President of III, believes that the ES 3 has opened up the Multibeam data collection field to those government agencies working in the interior of the country as well as the small boat operator with limited assets. The system can be adapted for use on ROVs, Towed Vehicles and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs).

III Logs Orders for EdgeTech SideScan Sonars
International Industries Inc. (III) received an order for 14 EdgeTech 4200 Side Scan Sonars from the Naval Oceanographic Office at Stennis Space Center, Miss. This order from NAVO is the largest multiple purchase on IIIs' GSA Contract. Chic Ransone, President of III, expects that this order will be the precursor to many more. The 4200 provides a unique advantage over the conventional dual frequency side scan sonar by combining EdgeTechs' Full Spectrum and MultiPulse technologies into one unit. The 4200 Series comes available with a choice of two dual simultaneous frequency sets; either 100/400 kHz or 300/600 kHz and offers two software selectable modes of operation: High Definition Mode (HMD) or High Speed Mode (HSM).

Aker Kvaerner, Statoil Sign Agreement
Aker Kvaerner signed a letter of intent with Statoil ASA to enter a five-year frame agreement for the delivery of subsea production systems and related operational services. The agreement will make Aker Kvaerner's subsea division a preferred supplier to deliver complete subsea solutions to Statoil's new field developments as well as additional equipment to new and existing fields.
